VEREDAS is a sustainability and design consultancy platform started by Ana Andrade a designer, researcher and entrepreneur bridging the gap between artisan communities in Brazil and the international high-end designer market. With her drive for social welfare and sustainability in the fashion and textile industry, Ana is been re-surfacing the adroitness of exceptional artisan communities from brazil towards stimulating the traditional art & culture in a more sustainable outlook.
After completing her studies from Central Saint Martins in 2019, she envisioned the “Veredas” business model endorsed by her university for “Start-up Visa” thriving towards not only manufacturing her line but advancing international companies with tailored bespoke artisanal textiles & sustainable alternatives. With her understanding of anthropological research, she is translating fashion ideology into an unconventional outlook for our generation. Her recognition for the traditional art vocabulary in her recent Anunciação.22 talks about collapsing the boundaries between innovation and tradition.
The transparency and legacy brought with the use of vegan leathers, lace details and exceptional corset making has been making the way towards what we call a rational supply chain in fashion.The zero-waste vegan leather accessories and bags are truly depicting the spirit of Brazilian and Latin American cultures.
